About Yoroshi
Delftse Studenten Budo Vereniging Yoroshi is the budo sports association at “X”, the sports center of the TU Delft.
X offers four sports in cooperation with Yoroshi: judo, jiu-jitsu, karate, and krav maga*. If you’d like to know more about what these are, check out the sports page. Beginners classes are open to anyone with an X membership.
In addition, Yoroshi organizes the advanced classes, as well as belt exams twice a year. Yoroshi often invites guest teachers from across the Netherlands, to give workshops in a variety of different martial arts. Yoroshi also organizes social activities, such as competitions, outdoor classes, practical self-defense workshops, drinks, barbecues, dinners, movie nights, and sports events.
Membership is only 20 EUR for a full year.
Yoroshi does not have a mandatory introduction period, and often sees new members join throughout the year. Yoroshi’s members range from first year BSc to PhD, from absolute beginners to high Dan black belts, from born in Delft to born on the other side of the world. If you’re an advanced martial artist, or if you want to try martial arts for the first time; if you want more training opportunities, or more social events next to the training; if any of this sounds like your cup of tea, join Yoroshi now!
